Olivetti
Founded over a century ago in 1908 by Camillo Olivetti, this Italian manufacturer produces computers, tablets, smartphones, photocopiers and printers. It is currently headquartered in Ivrea, Italy and under Camillo’s son Adriano, the company emerged as Italy’s second leading exporter of mechanical devices and Europe’s principal manufacturer of typewriters and business machines.
Olivetti has a history of commercial success and had a turnover of €227 million in 2014, exemplifying their popularity. The brand has been recognised for its attention to aesthetically-pleasing designs and their products have been exhibited in various museums and galleries. For example, in 1952 the Museum of Modern Art held an exhibit titled ‘Olivetti: Design in Industry’. Many products have been recruited as parts of permanent collections and have gained worldwide attention in artistic spheres.
Olivetti is one of the world’s leading photocopier manufacturers, boasting innovation and multifunctional devices (MFDs), which are suitable for businesses of all sizes. Critics have credited the printers for their fast, efficient and reliable operation. Modern designs furthermore offer excellent paper capacity (up to 6650 sheets), simultaneously using a reduced energy consumption. In comparison to other brands, Olivetti tends to be very reasonably priced and is worth exploring if searching for a convenient, reliable and fast photocopier.
The Olivetti range is extensive, but we have discussed a handful of their products below.
